Action plan for dismantling a radionuclide laboratory

When a radionuclide laboratory is closed down, the local radiation expert must thoroughly inspect the premises to eliminate the possibility of infection with radioactive substances.

Once the premises have been inspected and found to meet the norms specified in the granted authorisation, the general coordinating radiation expert can withdraw the Internal Authorisation. The premises are then once again released and can be used for other purposes (including a new laboratory).

The action plan for the release is discussed in advance with the radiation expert of AMD (Faculty of Science).
